Help. One sleep deprived parent here. My daughter who is two and half is waking more times in the night than a newborn. In the middle of the night she’s in and out of her bed like a yoyo and wakes obscenely early (5.30). She has a very consistent bed time routine i.e. bath, story bed and I have no problems getting her to sleep but anytime from midnight onward she wakes and then wakes the rest of the family. She creeps into our bed and no matter how many times I put her back to bed, she doesn’t seem to get the message. Her comprehension of things is good. She also wakes obscenely early. She still has a day time sleep as she seems not to be able to get through the day without it. Should I cut this out? I have a young baby who sleeps better than my toddler and now I’m back at work, I’m desperate to resolve this (and get some sleep myself). Any ideas welcomed!

I am 20 years old and in college, and I usually get around 5 hours of sleep a night because I am really busy during the day. How much sleep should a person get and not reduce life expectancy? I want good grades in school, but not at the expense of years of my life. I get conflicting answers: some people say 6-9, 6-8, 7-9, and 7-8 hours of sleep a night. So which is the right answer on how much sleep should a person who loves their life should get?
