I Was Diagnosed With Sleep Apnea But I Feel Like It Is More Than Just That I Go Through Excessive Fatigue…..?
i was given a prescription for Provigil 200mg to aid with my daytime drowsiness but its showing an affect on my life. Now i cant wake up to phone calls or clock alarms like i used to, what can i do to fix myself?
Its gotten to a point where I’m willing to do almost anything to get my life back to being on time and well rested without drowsiness
recently there’s something like a teeth retainer that, if you bite it, it holds your lower jaw forward.
if your lower jaw is held forward, you can’t close your throat.
try it. it really works.
and they promise your money back if it doesn’t work.
i haven’t tried it, but i probably should.
i did have a CPAP machine, and i really didn’t like it.
it was just too annoying, and i couldn’t get used to it.
If you were diagnosed with sleep apnea, make sure that you do whatever you can to correct the problem. I was diagnosed with severe apnea, with 76.9 episodes an hour. I can’t tell you how much better I feel after just a month with my CPAP. I am no longer exhausted during the day. Like the first person said, if you are being treated successfully, you won’t need a daytime “supplement” to help you. I suggest going back to your doctor and getting re-examined or going to another doctor. All the drugs in the world won’t fix sleep apnea.
I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea myself. I’m going back to the sleep lab in a couple of weeks to get a CPAP machine. 2 of my coworkers have a CPAP machine and they said it took a couple of weeks to get used to but that it has made a huge difference in their quality of sleep and their energy levels. I can’t wait to see if the machine makes that much of a difference for me. I’m tired of being tired all the time.
Who diagnosed the sleep apnea? Did you have a sleep study? That is usually the only way to get a hard diagnosis of sleep apnea. The only way I know of treating this is a CPAP machine or surgery to clear obstruction.
If you are sleeping better with a CPAP machine, you shouldn’t need any medication to keep you awake.
yep!!!! I could sleep anywhere, any time except when I layed down.
the bad part was falling asleep while driving.
