you only need about 7-8 hrs of sleep to function…anything over is a bit much. I used to sleep about 15hrs once a week to catch up on my sleep..but in the military 4 hrs is the minimum sleep they give you and expect you to function…besides, why would anyone want to sleep that long?….there’s so many things to do….

It all depends on the person and the amount of sleep they require. Some people require only 6-8 hours of sleep at night and no naps. I require at least 10-12 hours of nighttime sleep but feel better with 14. Then I have to have 2 2 hour naps daily to feel refreshed and recharged. So I never get so much sleep that I am tired upon awakening. I am however, unable to function and am terrible fatigued with less than the above mentioned sleep.

see,,the brain always has a limited hrs rest like 6 to 7 hrs.if you extend your sleep after that your brain get tired and you won’t get out of your bed.if you doing for several years i am sure it leads to sleeping sickness.
the normal hrs of human sleep will be 6 hrs per day.so try to manage that.
